About the role An Indian Affair is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Waiting Staff to join our team in Armidale. This is a casual position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a vibrant hospitality environment. You will be the face of our restaurant, delivering exceptional service and creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Key responsibilities
- Greeting guests warmly and seating them at tables in accordance with restaurant procedures
- Taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, with comprehensive product knowledge
- Serving meals and drinks promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
- Responding to guest enquiries and special requests with courtesy and attentiveness
- Clearing tables promptly and maintaining a clean, tidy dining environment
- Processing payments and managing the point-of-sale system accurately
- Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Adhering to food safety, health and hygiene standards and company policies
- Maintaining professional appearance and demeanour throughout shifts
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in waiting or front-of-house hospitality roles (preferred but not essential)
- Must be locals to the area
- No ongoing commitments with UNE that may affect availability
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility and reliability,
with availability for casual shifts including evenings and weekends
- Positive attitude, team player mentality and willingness to support colleagues
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required
- Australian RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification or willingness to obtain it
