Role Summary

We are seeking a Trade qualified Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter based in Preston, Victoria to support our manufacturing line. The role requires experience in a fast‑paced workplace and availability for occasional after‑hour shifts.

Responsibilities

- Perform preventive maintenance and checks according to work orders.
- Execute overhauls of site equipment such as pumps, agitators, conveyors, mechanical filters, printers and label applicators.
- Provide breakdown maintenance: identify issues and repair equipment as required.
- Assist with machine set‑up, adjustments and change‑over.
- Prepare workshop works for the next preventive maintenance cycle, overhaul and change‑over.

Qualifications

- Successfully completed Mechanical Trade Certificate III – Fitter and Turner/Machinist.
- Strong troubleshooting, repairing and hands‑on fitting skills.




- Experience maintaining production line and processing equipment such as pumps and conveyors.
- Basic TIG/MIG welding and machining experience.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, reliable, team‑oriented.
- Strong commitment to safety and good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
