Responsibilities

- Direct the activities of the maintenance team.
- Hold team briefings and communicate all operational and business activities and initiatives.
- Ensure maintenance works are completed within allocated timeframes.
- Assist in development and implementation of maintenance programs such as training, skills development and safety.
- Provide after‑hours or weekend support when urgent maintenance issues arise.
- Perform preventive maintenance and checks as per work orders.
- Assist in preparing the workshop for the next PM, overhaul and changeover.
- Guide the team in breakdown maintenance to identify and repair issues.
- Assist with machine setup, adjustments and changeover.
- Induct contractors when required.
- Other reasonable duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications





- Mechanical trade certificate III – Fitter and Turner/Machinist or equivalent completed.
- At least 2 years in a leadership role within a similar environment.
- Experience in managing conflicts, workloads and operational priorities.
- Experience with preventative and corrective maintenance systems.
- Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
- Basic TIG/MIG welding and machining experience.
- Reliable, hands‑on and team‑oriented.
- Clear and confident communication at all business levels.
- Robust troubleshooting skills and willingness to learn and lead.
- Positive attitude and commitment to safety.
