Employment and Compensation
- Grade 4 – $102,439 to $109,175 per annum (pro rata) plus 12% superannuation.
- Salary may be negotiated and is in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023.
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
Role Overview
Work within the Department of Medical Imaging (DMI) team to support and develop novice and newly qualified nurses.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the NUM DMI to orient, precept, teach, supervise and assess novice nurses and those new to imaging nursing across all modalities.
- Provide clinical coaching and leadership to support professional development and learning objectives of the department.
- Work closely with education and clinical teams to achieve the learning and development goals of the DMI.
Essential Qualifications
- Registered Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Current knowledge of nursing/midwifery principles, procedures,
and evidence‑based practices in a clinical setting.
- Demonstrated ability to use clinical coaching principles to support professional and clinical development of novice nurses and midwives.
- Ability to provide clinical leadership and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Attributes
- Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience in a relevant practice setting.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications appropriate to the clinical area.
- Membership with a relevant professional organisation (e.g. Australian College of Nursing, Australian College of Midwives, ACORN, ACCCN).
