Electronics Field Service Technician

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 plus Super (depending on experience)

About the Role

As an Electronics Field Service Technician, you'll work from our Yatala factory and sites throughout Queensland and Northern NSW with possible service and maintenance Nationwide.

You'll install, commission, service and repair electronic equipment used in transport, traffic management and public infrastructure while also supporting workshop production and assembly.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, fault-finding and working with technology in both workshop and field environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Install,



commission and service electronic signage, LED displays and intelligent transport systems.

- Diagnose, fault-find and repair electronic equipment and control systems.

- Assemble, test and quality-check electronic products in the workshop.

- Perform product preventative maintenance and repairs

- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.

- Complete service reports and maintenance records.

- Provide professional customer service while working on-site.

- Travel to sites Queensland wide, Northern NSW and Nationwide for service and maintenance.

About You

We're interested in people with a strong electronics or technical trade background who enjoy practical problem-solving and field work.

You may have experience as an:

- Electronics Technician

- Telecommunications or Communications Technician

- Security or Alarm Technician

- Auto Electrician

- Audio Visual (AV) Integration Technician

- Electrician with electronics or low-voltage experience

If you have transferable technical skills and a willingness to learn, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Need

- Certificate III or higher in Electronics, Telecommunications, Auto Electrical or a related trade.

- Previous experience in electronics, field service or technical maintenance.

- Strong electronic fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

- Experience using multimeters,



electronic test equipment and hand tools.

- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.

- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Windows and Outlook.

- Strong communication and organisational skills.

- Current Australian Driver Licence.

Desirable (but not essential)

- White Card

- Medium Rigid (MR) licence

- Restricted electrical licence

- QA or OHS exposure

- EWP or Forklift Licence

- First Aid Certificate

- Experience working on road, council, rail or transport infrastructure projects
