Registered Nurse – Pinangba, Cape York Family Centre – Cooktown

Employment Term: Permanent – Part or Full Time

Location: Cape York Family Centre, Cooktown

Remuneration: $45.29 – $57.06 per hour (dependent on experience) + Super + Penalties and Allowances

Remote Requirement: Remote location; 4WD may be required in wet season

About Pinangba

Pinangba is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander‑led service delivery arm of UnitingCare. The foundations of Pinangba are built from our cultural identity and strong community relationships and partnerships.

Providing person‑centred care to clients in the community or residents, ensuring a safe setting, and applying clinical skills to improve quality of life through activities.

Responsibilities

- Assessing, planning and implementing client care within scope of practice.
- Considering physical, social and psychological requirements.
- Creating and updating care plans to reflect evolving needs.
- Ensuring clinical quality compliance standards are met.
- Working collaboratively with other multi‑disciplinary team members.

Qualifications

- Excellent communication and clinical problem‑solving skills.
- Confidence in managing time effectively and working autonomously.
- General nursing experience post‑registration; aged care experience desirable.
- Blue Card clearance or willingness to obtain.
- Full, unrestricted AHPRA registration and unlimited work entitlements.
- Current Australian driver’s licence.
