Position Summary

St Thomas More College is seeking a School Officer (Homework Club) to support students in a rewarding after‑school role. Perfect for university students, pre‑service teachers, or those looking for flexible work, this position offers 2+ hours per week on a rotating roster.

Responsibilities

- Assisting with planning, preparation,



and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for students, including the use of technology and learning support activities
- Monitoring the progress of students and identifying learning areas to provide evidence‑based intervention strategies
- Improving student learning outcomes by providing support and advice on supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborating with school specialists in organising and assisting with intervention groups to coordinate services
- Documenting observation notes, intervention programmes and assisting in the collation and preparation of classroom materials

Qualifications & Experience

- Strong skills in planning, preparing, and delivering effective teaching programs
- Ability to monitor student progress and apply evidence‑based interventions
- Expertise in supporting diverse learning needs to improve student outcomes
- Collaborative skills to work with specialists and coordinate intervention groups
- Proficient in documenting observations, managing intervention programmes, and preparing classroom materials
- Certificate III in Education Support
- For this position you are not required to be Catholic
