Help deliver the technology services that support learning, teaching, research and University operations.

UniSQ’s Information Technology and Digital Services division, known as ITDS, is establishing a pool of suitably skilled people who could be offered casual work across our technology portfolio.

Opportunities may be available for emerging professionals, experienced practitioners, current students, recent graduates and industry specialists. Casual engagements could vary according to operational requirements, available work and the skills needed by individual ITDS teams.

Where You’ll Make an Impact

Depending on your experience and interests, you may contribute in areas such as:

Client Support : assisting staff and students with technology enquiries, device setup, software support, equipment deployments, asset management and campus-based technology services.

Audio Visual Services : supporting teaching spaces, meeting rooms, events and specialist audio visual environments across UniSQ campuses.

Cyber Security : assisting with security operations, monitoring, risk and compliance activities, awareness initiatives, vulnerability management and other cyber improvement work.

Software Development : contributing to the design, development, testing, integration and ongoing support of University applications and digital services.

PeopleSoft and Enterprise Systems : supporting UniSQ’s student, human resources, finance and administrative systems through analysis, configuration, testing, development, documentation and operational support.

Projects and Business Analysis : supporting technology projects through research, requirements gathering, process analysis, documentation, coordination, testing and stakeholder engagement.

What You’ll Do

The nature of each engagement will depend on the needs of the relevant ITDS team, when the work arises. Your work may include:

- Providing responsive and professional technology support to staff and students.
- Assisting with technology deployments, upgrades, audits and campus activities.
- Configuring, testing, troubleshooting or maintaining devices, applications and systems.




- Supporting audio visual equipment, teaching spaces, meetings or University events.
- Contributing to cybersecurity, software development or enterprise system activities.
- Gathering and documenting business, technical or project requirements.
- Assisting with system testing, data validation, process documentation and reporting.
- Maintaining accurate records, technical documentation and asset information.
- Working collaboratively with ITDS colleagues and University stakeholders.
- Following University policies, cybersecurity requirements and workplace health and safety practices.

You will be expected to work effectively as part of a team, adapt to changing priorities and provide a high standard of service.

What You’ll Bring

We are interested in receiving expressions of interest (EOI) from candidates with a range of qualifications and experience. Depending on the work available, you may bring:

- Relevant qualifications, training, industry certifications or practical experience in information technology, digital services, project delivery or business analysis.
- Experience in one or more of the ITDS service areas outlined above.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- A professional, cooperative and customer-focused approach.
- The ability to organise your work and manage competing priorities.
- A willingness to learn new systems, technologies and processes.
- An understanding of confidentiality, information security and responsible technology use.
- The ability to work on campus (Toowoomba, Springfield, or Ipswich) where required.
