About the role

Al Corporation Pty Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Management professional with basic mechanic skills to join our team in Dandenong, Victoria. This is a full-time position that combines warehouse operations expertise with hands-on mechanical capability. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient operation of our warehouse facilities whilst maintaining and troubleshooting our material handling equipment and vehicles.

This position is essential to ensuring smooth logistics operations and maximising productivity across our distribution network.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management and dispatch of goods
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock audits and maintain accurate records using warehouse management systems
- Monitor and maintain material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and conveyor systems
- Perform basic mechanical maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment and delivery vehicles to minimise downtime
- Identify equipment issues and undertake troubleshooting to resolve mechanical problems quickly and effectively
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff
- Optimise warehouse layout and storage solutions to maximise space utilisation and operational efficiency
- Prepare and analyse warehouse performance reports and key performance indicators
- Liaise with logistics, transport and customer service teams to coordinate operations

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in warehouse management or similar logistics operations role
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control software
- Basic mechanical skills with the ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on warehouse equipment
- Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one




- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage and motivate warehouse teams
- Sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental compliance standards relevant to warehousing operations
- Problem-solving ability and proactive approach to identifying operational improvements
- Physical capability to work in a warehouse setting and perform manual tasks as required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computerised systems
- Previous experience in the manufacturing, transport or logistics sector is highly desirable
