About the Role
Our client is seeking a reliable and organised Goods Receiving Officer to join their warehouse team at their Gepps Cross depot.
This is a hands-on warehouse position responsible for receiving incoming stock, checking deliveries and ensuring goods are accurately recorded, safely stored and available for distribution.
The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and enjoy working in an organised warehouse environment where accuracy, product handling and safety are important.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming deliveries.
- Forklift Operation
- Check deliveries against purchase orders and documentation.
- Inspect goods for accuracy, damage or discrepancies.
- Safely move and store stock within the warehouse.
- Complete receiving and inventory records accurately.
- Label and organise incoming stock appropriately.
- Report damaged, missing or incorrect goods.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised receiving area.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams regarding deliveries.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required.
About You
- Previous experience in goods receiving, warehousing or a similar role.
- Forklift license and experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to safely handle and move stock.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable and positive approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Experience with building products, hardware or trade supplies would be advantageous.
