This 12‑week paid Vacation Program commences in late November 2026 and runs through mid‑February 2027. It is designed for mechanical engineering students in their penultimate year to apply theory, develop technical knowledge, and build communication and leadership capabilities in a real business environment.
Key Responsibilities and Learning Outcomes - Turn theory into practice by solving real business challenges.
- Build technical knowledge through operational experience and dedicated mentoring.
- Enhance commercial, safety, communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Implement and improve technical skills in a hands‑on engineering environment.
- Work on meaningful projects with direct business impact and present results to leadership.
- Collaborate with teammates, mentors, and other vacation engineering students.
- Possibility of a cadetship, providing part‑time employment through the final year of university and a pathway towards the graduate program (not guaranteed). Placements - CSBP AAN – production of ammonia gas,
ammonium nitrate (solid and liquid) and emulsion products.
- Kleenheat – gas production (LNG and LPG).
- Australian Gold Reagents – sodium cyanide production (liquid & solid).
- CSBP Fertilisers – a range of liquid and solid fertiliser and nutrient products.
- WesCEF Technical and Operational Services.
