Due to the commencement of several major residential and Commercial construction projects, we are seeking a proactive and safety-focused WHS Representative / Trades Assistant to join our growing team based in Maningrida, NT.
This is a residential role where your primary focus will be supporting the safe delivery of our projects by working closely with our Project Manager, Site Supervisor and construction crews to maintain high WHS standards across site.

Opportunity to work on major residential construction projects The Role
Your primary responsibility will be assisting with the day-to-day implementation of our Workplace Health and Safety systems while providing practical support to our construction team when required.
Key responsibilities include
Conducting daily site safety inspections
Assisting with site inductions and visitor inductions
Leading or assisting with daily pre-starts and toolbox meetings
Monitoring compliance with SWMS, JSAs and company WHS procedures
Identifying, reporting and assisting to rectify hazards
Ensuring PPE compliance across site
Completing safety inspections, registers and site documentation
Assisting with incident reporting and corrective actions
Maintaining safety signage, amenities and emergency equipment
Liaising with Project Managers, Site Supervisors and subcontractors on WHS matters
Assisting trades with general site duties when required
Essential Requirements
CPCCWHS2001 – Apply WHS Requirements, Policies and Procedures in the Construction Industry
Construction White Card
Current Australian Driver Licence
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Strong understanding of safe work practices
Ability to work independently and within a team
Desirable
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
Previous experience as a WHS Representative, Safety Officer or Site Safety Coordinator
Experience in residential or commercial construction
First Aid Certificate
Remote construction experience
