MalayaLane is Adelaide’s first Malaysian–Indian cuisine concept, specialising in authentic Banana Leaf Rice and Malaysian street food. We focus on delivering bold flavours, consistency, and high-quality meals in a fast-paced setting.

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Chef to join our kitchen team. This role requires strong work ethic, consistency, and the ability to handle high-volume service efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items according to standard recipes
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety compliance
- Assist with food preparation, stock control, and kitchen organisation
- Support menu planning and daily kitchen operations




- Work efficiently during busy service periods

Requirements
- Experience as a Chef or Cook (Asian cuisine preferred)
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Must have own transportation
- Willing to work long hours, including weekends
- Reliable, punctual, and disciplined
- Ability to work independently and in a team
