About the role
TRS Staffing is partnering with a leading Tier 1 EPCM organisation to recruit an experienced Workforce Mobilisation Lead for a major project based in Adelaide.
Reporting into the Project Leadership Team, you will establish, lead and continuously improve the project's workforce mobilisation program, ensuring the successful mobilisation and demobilisation of employees, contractors and third-party service providers throughout the project lifecycle.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing the governance, systems, processes and strategies that support workforce readiness, compliance and deployment. This role will play a critical part in ensuring personnel are mobilised safely, efficiently and in alignment with project schedules, operational requirements and accommodation capacity.
Working closely with project leadership, HR, contractors and external stakeholders, you will help deliver a seamless workforce experience while supporting one of the project's key delivery priorities.

Duties and responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive workforce mobilisation plan aligned with project milestones and the Construction Execution Plan.
- Translate strategic workforce requirements into operational mobilisation plans, including onboarding, training and compliance activities.
- Collaborate with Project HR, project operations, contractors and industry bodies to ensure mobilisation processes are compliant, efficient and consistently applied.
- Facilitate cross-functional working groups to drive mobilisation readiness and resolve workforce-related issues.
- Lead the personnel mobilisation function, ensuring readiness across people, systems and processes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for workforce mobilisation queries, issues and escalations.
- Balance workforce demand and capacity across a pool of common service providers.
- Maintain strong client relationships in a highly visible role where workforce mobilisation has been identified as a key project risk and opportunity.
- Lead a team of 5+ personnel during project execution and coordinate across multiple project functions and contractors to ensure mobilisation activities are delivered successfully.
- Work closely with Site Management teams to support workforce deployment requirements.
- Undertake occasional travel to project sites as required.
- Monitor mobilisation performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workforce mobilisation outcomes.
Skills and experience required
- Relevant tertiary qualification and a minimum of 10 years' experience in workforce mobilisation, people logistics or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in a mobilisation leadership role on major resources, mining projects.
- Strong understanding of mobilisation, onboarding and workforce compliance requirements in large project environments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Experience supporting large-scale EPCM or construction projects.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong analytical capability with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple stakeholders in a dynamic project environment.
