At Stenhouse Lifting, we’re proud of our 28-year legacy as a trusted, family-owned business supporting major infrastructure and industrial projects across the country. With a strong foundation and a vision for continued growth, we’re now on the lookout for a Workshop Technician to join our Wacol team.

This is a hands-on, workshop-based role perfect for someone who takes pride in mechanical detail, thrives in a team environment, and is passionate about keeping lifting equipment safe, compliant, and reliable.

At Stenhouse Lifting, you'll be working on a wide range of lifting and safety equipment, ensuring it’s maintained, repaired, and compliant to the highest standards. You’ll work with a close-knit crew on a broad range of lifting and rigging gear – from chains and slings to hoists and height safety equipment.

If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in doing the job right, and values safety as much as performance – this could be your next big move.

Your Role Will Include:

- Inspecting, servicing, repairing and testing lifting, rigging and height safety equipment in our workshop
- Tagging and recording equipment inspections in line with Australian Standards
- Operating testing equipment and maintaining workshop safety standards
- Supporting the warehouse and dispatch teams as required
- Participating in ongoing training and industry certifications
- Manufacturing chain and wire rope slings
- Interacting with customers and delivery drivers
- Occasional on-site work with field service technician if required

What You’ll Bring:

- Experience in a physical, hands-on role in a heavy industry setting (experience in lifting/rigging/height safety will be highly regarded)
- Mechanically minded
- Comfortable using tablets and technology-based systems for job management
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
- Committed to workplace safety
- Able to learn and apply knowledge practically
- Physically fit for work in a physical role and capable of regularly lifting up to 20kg
- Forklift licence desirable but not mandatory (must be capable of obtaining one)
- The right to work permanently in Australia

Why Join Stenhouse Lifting?

- A Business Built on Good People – We're a family business with strong values, and a supportive, down-to-earth team who genuinely care about our team and customers
- Career Progression – With national reach and global connections, and a focus on training and development, the opportunities for growth are real
- Competitive Package – Excellent remuneration and employee benefits
- Innovative Environment – We value fresh ideas, problem-solvers and forward-thinkers
- Work/Life Balance – Because your wellbeing matters as much as your output - we believe positive people do great work when they’re looked after
- Industry Reputation – Be part of a respected name trusted across Australia

Ready for a role with impact where you can grow with a company that’s going places? Apply now!
