Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour + Super
About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Yard Person / Forklift Operator to join a busy industrial operation based in Welshpool.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation offering ongoing work, excellent training and the potential for permanent employment after 13 weeks.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect and store incoming materials and equipment.
- Pick, pack and dispatch orders accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers and containers safely.
- Safely operate forklifts ranging from 2.5 tonne to 16 tonne.
- Assist with inventory management, stocktakes and cycle counts.
- Drive the company vehicle to complete local deliveries and pickups as directed by the Transport Coordinator.
- Complete required paperwork and basic administrative tasks.
- Report equipment faults, maintenance issues and safety hazards.
- Follow all workplace health, safety and operational procedures.
About You To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse, logistics, transport or supply base environment.
- Current Forklift Licence (experience operating an Aislemaster forklift is highly desirable).
- Experience handling oversized or specialised materials (desirable).
- Solid commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Honest, reliable and a team player.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
Essential Requirements
- Current Forklift Licence.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence.
- HR Driver's Licence (desirable).

- During quieter periods, shifts may finish earlier (minimum 4-hour engagement applies).
- During busy periods, overtime may be available.
