Muloobinba Aboriginal Corporation are hiring for Youth Worker to join our Casework Support Program in working with Young people who are being supervised by Youth Justice. We are seeking enthusiastic, committed individuals to join an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) that values culture, collaboration, community, and continuous learning.

About the Role

Part time/15 hours per week SCHADS Level 2 Paypoint 1

Based at Cardiff Office, availability to work from Maitland and Singleton offices The Youth Worker – Casework Support provides support for young people at risk of ongoing involvement with the criminal justice system by supporting them to achieve positive change in their lives.

Casework Support is targeting Aboriginal and non Aboriginal Youth between 12 and 18 years of age that are either; being supervised by Youth Justice, transitioning from custody into the community, have a referral for Youth Justice Conference or receiving Bail Support.

The Youth Worker – Casework Support provides practical support to Young people aged 12–18 at risk of ongoing involvement with the criminal justice system. This includes young people:

- Supervised by Youth Justice
- Transitioning from custody to the community
- Referred for Youth Justice Conferences
- Receiving bail support

You will work closely with Youth Justice and other stakeholders to support positive outcomes and integration into the community.





Key Responsibilities:

- Support behavioural, emotional, and social development
- Build trusting relationships with young people and the community
- Facilitate group programs and secure activities
- Strengthen cultural identity and connection to Aboriginal communities
- Provide guidance in a non-judgmental, supportive environment

Position Requirements:

- Working With Children Check
- National Police Check
- NSW Driver’s License
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate (minimum 2 doses)

Remuneration: Salary is offered the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award, plus superannuation, leave loading, and salary sacrifice with CBB.
