- Perform software design, development, implementation, maintenance, configuration management and quality control for scientific and engineering applications.
- Define system/software requirements and translate customer needs into practical designs.
- Use Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket/Git and related Agile tools to manage work and collaborate with the team.
- Identify roadblocks, resolve discrepancies and develop solutions where requirements or approaches are not fully defined.
- Plan, design, develop, test and deploy solutions that improve performance, maintainability and delivery outcomes.
- Contribute across front‑end/GUI, back‑end services, databases and integration APIs.
- Ensure integration and compliance with applicable client, industry and Defence standards.
- Maintain software baselines, configuration and technical documentation, adopting recent technologies where required.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

- Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of software development and software‑modernisation experience.
