Position Overview

We are seeking passionate and dedicated speech pathologists to join our Allied Health team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary environment supporting children and young people with a range of physical, neurological, sensory, intellectual and developmental disabilities.

About The Role

As a speech pathologist at Xavier, you will provide evidence‑based assessment, intervention, consultation and education services to children and young people with complex needs. Working collaboratively with families, carers and other professionals, you will help clients achieve meaningful goals that enhance communication, independence, inclusion and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high‑quality speech pathology assessments and interventions.
- Develop and implement evidence‑based therapy plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Provide consultation, education and support to families and carers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to achieve positive client outcomes.
- Manage an allocated caseload and prioritise services effectively.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, reports and documentation.
- Meet billable service targets and funding requirements.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement and organisational initiatives.




- Promote safe work practices and participate in risk management activities.

Essential Requirements

- Recognised tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
- Certified Practising Membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Demonstrated experience providing speech pathology services to children and young people.
- Robust clinical reasoning and evidence‑based practice skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and report‑writing skills.
- Competency using client management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Current Queensland Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Eligibility to obtain a Medicare Provider Number.

Mandatory Compliance Requirements

- Current Speech Pathology Australia membership.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDIS Worker Screening Clearance).
- Current Blue Card (or ability to obtain).
- National Police Check.
- Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or unrestricted working rights in Australia.
