The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance requirements and supporting operational finance activities across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Month‑end and year‑end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of annual financial statements and audit support
- Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- BAS, FBT and other statutory reporting obligations
- Asset register management and depreciation calculations
- Oversight of accounts receivable and funding income reporting
- Supporting payroll, salary packaging and finance operations as required
- Maintaining strong financial controls and compliance processes
- Preparation of funding reports and acquittals for government and other funding bodies
About You
You are a technically strong accountant who enjoys working in a cooperative environment and takes pride in delivering high‑quality financial outcomes.
- CPA or CA qualification
- Proven experience in a Senior Accountant or Senior Financial Accountant role
- Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
- Experience preparing financial statements and managing audits
- Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
Candidates with experience in the not‑for‑profit sector, government‑funded programs, and particularly funding acquittals and grant reporting will be viewed very favourably.
