Recruitment Officer
Latrobe City Council is seeking a proactive and customer‑focused Recruitment Officer to join the Human Resources team. This role coordinate end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding activities, provide guidance to Hiring Managers, and contribute to innovative recruitment initiatives, reporting, and process improvements.
About The Role
As Recruitment Officer, you will coordinate end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding activities across allocated portfolios, support Hiring Managers with practical recruitment advice, deliver a positive candidate experience, maintain recruitment data and reporting, contribute to recruitment process improvements and support initiatives that strengthen attraction, engagement and workforce outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding activities across allocated portfolios.
- Support Hiring Managers with practical recruitment advice and guidance.
- Deliver a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey.
- Maintain recruitment data and reporting to support informed decision‑making.
- Contribute to recruitment process improvements and service enhancements.
- Support recruitment initiatives that strengthen attraction, engagement and workforce outcomes.

Qualifications
- Experience coordinating recruitment and onboarding activities.
- The ability to build trusted relationships with managers and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Sound judgement and problem‑solving capability.
- The confidence to interpret and apply recruitment policies, procedures and legislation.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering a positive candidate experience.
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in recruitment, human resources or a related field.
Additional Requirements
Successful applicants will be required to obtain a National Police Check and a Working with Children Check.
