We are a well-established precision manufacturing business based in Kilsyth, producing high-quality precision components for a diverse range of industries. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Supervisor to join our day shift team.

This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys machining, mentoring others, and ensuring quality and productivity on the workshop floor.

About the Role

As our CNC Machinist / Supervisor, you will be responsible for operating and supervising CNC machining activities while supporting the day‑to‑day performance of the production team. You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, meeting production schedules, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC machining centres.
- Supervise and support a team of machinists during day shift operations.
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are achieved.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining and production issues.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient workshop environment.
- Assist with process improvements and workflow optimisation.




- CNC programming (preferred but not essential).

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a precision manufacturing workplace.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience, or the ability to step into a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining practices, tooling, and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- CNC programming experience is highly regarded.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety.
