The position
We are seeking experienced and adaptable Paramedics to join the Kimberley Ambulance Service. This is a unique opportunity to deliver frontline emergency care across some of Western Australia’s most remote communities. You will be based in Perth and deployed to the Kimberley region (Derby, Fitzroy Crossing, and Halls Creek), responding to 000 emergency calls and supporting hospital teams in the emergency department.
About the role
- Respond to all 000 calls as part of a pre-hospital emergency response team
- Work closely alongside hospital doctors and nursing staff in the emergency department
- Follow established medical treatment plans when working in-hospital settings
- Attend call-outs with a non-clinical local orderly/driver who provides strong community and area knowledge
- 10‑hour shifts plus an on‑call component
- Increased overtime hourly rate
- Meal allowance provided per operational day
- Travel day allowance provided for both mobilisation and demobilisation days
- Minimum overtime payment applied for all call-outs
- Flights to and from Perth covered
Requirements
- Must be based in Perth
- 3+ years relevant clinical registration and on‑road experience in emergency or pre‑hospital care
- Ability to work in remote, resource‑limited environments
- Flexibility, resilience, and strong teamwork skills
