About the Company

At Cirql, we don't focus on industry specifics - our core specialisation is partnering with middle-market organisations that are experiencing change. This client is the perfect example of that - an established and high-growth industrial services company proactively structuring its corporate systems, processes, and capability for the next wave of expansion.

Cirql is proud to represent a premier Australian provider of tech-enabled logistics, supply chain management, and freight solutions. Operating out of their Moorabbin headquarters, this business leverages proprietary innovation, complex carrier networks, and multi-modal logistics capabilities to streamline supply chains for a large, national client portfolio.

Backed by a leading Private Equity firm, the organization is scaling rapidly through both organic expansion and targeted growth initiatives. The pace in this environment is real. It is a lean, highly agile setup where commercial choices are backed by data, decisions are implemented with urgency, and leaders are given true autonomy to drive measurable value.

About the Chance

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Group Financial Controller will take complete ownership of group financial reporting, compliance, treasury, internal control frameworks, and finance operations. You will lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, ensuring high-quality, accurate consolidated financial management across all operating entities.

As a senior financial leader, you will partner closely with the executive team and board to upgrade financial systems,

automate operational processes, optimize working capital, and support ongoing corporate transactions. This role is vital for building robust governance that keeps pace with a rapidly expanding, PE-backed enterprise.

What You'll Do

Leading the central finance function and a medium to large team, you will oversee financial control, operations, governance, and continuous system transformation.

- Managing the group month-end and year-end close processes, delivering timely consolidated reporting packs, board packs, and statutory financial statements.
- Maintaining robust internal control frameworks, financial governance, balance sheet integrity, and external audit relationships across all entities.
- Overseeing group treasury, cash flow forecasting, covenant monitoring, and banking relationships to optimize working capital.
- Leading finance operations, including Accounts Payable, corporate expenditure governance, and operational cost management.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the central finance team, building a high-performance culture focused on execution and accountability.
- Owning financial systems architecture, master data governance,

and process automation projects across the finance function.
- Providing technical accounting leadership on complex transactions, M&A; due diligence support, and integration activities.

What You'll Bring

We are seeking a high-caliber, hands-on Financial Controller who brings deep technical capability, commercial acumen, and proven leadership in fast-moving corporate environments. You are a pragmatist who excels at building scalable processes in high-growth, PE-backed or multi-entity businesses. In addition, you will bring:

- A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce, with CA or CPA qualification required.
- Extensive leadership experience (10+ years) in financial control, group reporting, or senior financial management, ideally within logistics, transport, supply chain, or industrial sectors.
- Deep knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, corporate governance, multi-entity consolidations, and statutory requirements.
- Proven track record in developing high-performing accounting teams and operating within fast-paced, high-accountability environments.
- Strong background in driving finance transformation, ERP systems development, and process automation.
- Commercial acumen with experience supporting corporate transactions, integrations, or PE reporting requirements.

Be part of something bigger in 2026, your next step starts here.

Not sure if you meet these requirements? Please apply - we are happy to discuss your individual circumstances.
