Kruse Legal is a small general practice firm in Blackwood, established in 2011, looking after clients across Adelaide and the Adelaide Hills. We do practical, plain-English legal work at some of the most key moments in our clients' lives. Our main areas are Family law, Wills and Estates with some civil work and independent legal advice for guarantors as well. We are known for our friendly, empathetic approach, transparent fixed fees and making sure clients feel heard and supported.

We are looking for a Solicitor to join our team and grow their experience across our broad and rewarding caseload. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years PAE, but we will look at applicants with less experience. More than one role may be available.

The role

You will work directly with our clients and run your own files in family law and wills and estates, from the first meeting through to completion. You will be properly supported to build your skills, judgment and confidence, with open door support from the firm principal.

Your work will include:

- Meeting with clients to take instructions and giving practical legal advice
- Family and de-facto law matters, mostly in financial property settlement matters, ideally reaching agreements by consent after negotiations and mediation.
- Wills and estates matters, including Wills, Enduring powers of attorney and Advance Care Directives, probates, estate administration and deceased estate advice
- Drafting letters, court documents, consent agreements and other legal documents
- Managing your case load of files and looking after client relationships
- Attending mediations, conferences and court where needed




- Working with our small team to collectively achieve results for our clients

About you

- Admitted, or eligible for admission, in the Supreme Court of South Australia, with around 1 to 3 years' experience since admission. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years PAE, but recently admitted lawyers with a genuine interest are welcome to apply.
- Hold, or can obtain, a current South Australian practising certificate
- Keen to build a career in family law, wills and estates with some civil matters
- Good attention to detail and technologically adept.
- Genuinely interested in helping our clients through difficult personal situations, with a warm and empathetic manner
- A clear, professional communicator with clients and colleagues
- You take responsibility for your own matters, while leveraging our growing portfolio of AI tools
- Enjoy working in a small, close team

Experience in family law or wills and estates is ideal, but not essential. We will back the right person who brings enthusiasm, commitment and a willingness to learn and contribute.
