RCR Mining Technologies (RCRMT), a leading business unit within NRW Holdings, is seeking a talented Industrial Painter Blaster to join our team at our Bunbury Workshop on a full-time basis.
As an Industrial Painter Blaster at RCRMT, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the durability and protection of our mining technologies. You will utilise your excellent painting and blasting skills to provide high-quality and efficient services in industrial surface preparation and coating.
Responsibilities
- Perform surface preparation on steel or hard composition objects, ensuring the removal of all contamination and achieving the specified finish
- Apply paint or similar coatings using spraying or brushing techniques
- Review painting specifications and comply with the required standards
- Blast to profile tolerances and specifications
- Take precise measurements when measuring blast profile
- Maintain accurate records of painting thickness, including DFTs, paint reports, salt testing, etc., as necessary
- Manage inventory of materials, including paints and consumables, and notify the supervisor of any shortages
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of machines and equipment
- Provide guidance and assistance to apprentices and trades assistants
Requirements
- Local residency in the Southwest region
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Industrial Painting or Blasting OR Relative experience
- Valid Driver's Licence
- Work at Heights & Confined Space Tickets
- Dogging/Rigging certification (preferred but not essential)
- Forklift Ticket (preferred but not essential)
- Physical fitness for manual labour and ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening
- Strong commitment to safety and reliable work ethic
