Description & Requirements

We are recruiting for an Engineering Manager to lead our Brisbane-based engineering team. Reporting to the General Manager – Engineering who is based in Perth, you will be required to build and manage the team providing people management and the hands‑on technical design engineering expertise across a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Manning allocation, development and hiring of design resources in collaboration with the Discipline Managers.
- Continual development of design processes and procedures.
- Delegation of all projects of Project Design Managers.
- Maintenance and development of client relationships.
- Ensure compliance of design products with the design procedure.
- Ensure design managers are following established project plans and procedures.
- Ensure design products comply with applicable legislation, standards, client, third party and project requirements.
- Ensure designs are fit for purpose and consider all aspects including cost, constructability, operability and maintainability.
- Ensure design products are delivered in accordance with the project schedule and budget.

Qualifications





- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- 15+ years' experience in minerals processing design.
- Demonstrated experience managing a team of Design professionals.
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
- Detailed understanding of multi-discipline design delivery within the minerals processing sector.
- Solid understanding of statutory and industry regulations and HSE practices.
- Knowledge and practical application of design theories, principles, and practices.
- Advanced level of expertise with engineering technical detail.
- Demonstrated planning and organisation skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to continued professional development.
- Strong work ethic.
