Job purpose

An exciting opportunity for an apprentice to work alongside fully qualified parts advisors to be fully trained in sourcing and supplying parts for heavy vehicles. All of our Parts Advisors will get the opportunity to attend the DAF Academy in Nottingham, England as part of their college course towards this qualification. You will attend the DAF Academy for approximately 3 days at a time roughly every 8-10 weeks and all of your travel, accommodation & food will be paid for by your employer.

What will I learn?

Safe storage of parts. Handling, storing and receiving stock, payments, procedures, identifying, sourcing and ordering parts. Monitoring and solving customer problems/enquiries and processing customer’s orders.



The parts advisor apprentice will be working with both customers and workshop staff, over the phone and face to face, using computerised stock management systems and parts identification programme - ECAT. A parts advisor apprentice will support the dealership, improve sales and provide excellent customer service.

What qualifications or qualities are required?

A keen interest in vehicles, the learner must be hard working and motivated with an interest to learn recent skills, with excellent communication skills both verbal and written National 4 PASS in English & Math's. Full details and apply here
