Myndshift Group have been engaged by our client partner, a respected mining contractor leading the restart of a major gold operation in North Queensland.

About the Role
Located approximately 150km south west of Townsville, the Mt Carlton Gold Mine forms part of Queensland's historic Charters Towers goldfield, one of Australia's most established gold-producing regions. As operations ramp up under new leadership, the site is entering an exciting new phase of production, creating strong opportunities for experienced maintenance professionals to be part of its next chapter.

We are seeking an experienced Leading Hand Fitter with strong mobile plant experience to join the maintenance team and play a key role in maintaining the sites mobile assets. This is an opportunity to secure a position on a growing operation as it gains momentum.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities




- Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to the team
- Ensure compliance with safety systems and procedures
- Plan and prioritise work to meet operational targets
- Complete reporting and maintenance documentation

About You:

- Trade qualified Heavy Diesel or Mobile Plant Fitter
- Demonstrated experience in a Leading Hand or supervisory capacity
- Robust knowledge of mining mobile plant - CAT, Hitachi, Liebherr
- Proven commitment to safety and team leadership
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
