About the role:
This is a rare opportunity to join the landlord and take ownership of leasing across a premium commercial portfolio spanning Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide.
Working closely with the Asset Management team, you'll drive occupancy and leasing performance by proactively managing lease expiries, minimising vacancies and securing quality long-term tenants.
You'll work closely with external leasing agencies, leveraging agent relationships to maximise outcomes, while also engaging with tenant representatives and negotiating direct opportunities where appropriate.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving occupancy levels and leasing performance across the portfolio.
- Managing lease expiries and proactively engaging tenants.
- Negotiating new leases, renewals and lease variations.
- Managing and building strong relationships with external leasing agencies.
- Leveraging commercial agent networks to identify opportunities.
- Working with Asset Management to optimise portfolio performance.
- Maintaining strategic tenant relationships.
- Monitoring market activity and identifying leasing opportunities.
- Interstate travel across Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide.
About you:
The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial leasing qualified who enjoys taking ownership, building relationships and thinking strategically about long-term leasing outcomes.
To be successful you'll have:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial leasing and/or commercial property sales.
- Strong commercial negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Experience managing external leasing agents or working closely with commercial agency networks.
- A proactive approach to lease expiry management and tenant retention.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader team.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A commercially minded approach focused on maximising occupancy rather than simply completing transactions.
- A positive attitude, resilience and the ability to thrive in a relaxed, no-ego environment.
Experience working directly for a landlord will be highly regarded but is not essential.
