About the role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Plumber to join the team at EAST COAST PLUMBING & GAS FITTING PTY LTD. This is a casual position based in Geelong, VIC, offering flexibility and variety in your work. As a Maintenance Plumber, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems for our valued clients across the Geelong region. This role is essential to ensuring our customers receive prompt, qualified service and can rely on their plumbing infrastructure to function smoothly. You will be the point of contact for many of our clients, making your expertise and customer service skills invaluable to our business.

Key responsibilities

1. Respond to emergency and routine maintenance calls from residential and commercial clients

2. Diagnose plumbing faults and determine the most effective solutions using industry best practices

3. Repair and maintain pipes, fixtures, fittings, and hot water systems

4. Install and replace plumbing components including taps, toilets, showers, and drainage systems

5. Perform preventative maintenance checks to identify potential issues before they become major problems

6. Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on each job

7. Provide professional advice to clients regarding plumbing issues and recommend appropriate solutions

8. Ensure all work complies with relevant plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards

9. Liaise with office staff regarding job scheduling and customer communication

What we're looking for

1. Current plumbing qualifications and a valid plumber's license recognised in Victoria

2. Minimum 2–3 years' experience as a qualified plumber in maintenance or service work

3. Strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and gas fitting (where applicable)

4. Ability to diagnose faults quickly and implement efficient solutions

5.



Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

6. Strong customer service ethic and ability to communicate clearly with clients

7. Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work

8. Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travelling between job sites

9. Physical fitness and ability to work in various conditions and positions

10. Preferably experience with both residential and commercial plumbing maintenance

11. Must have own vehicle & own tools for all works
