This hybrid role is based in Adelaide, SA, with some work from home acceptable for meetings, planning, and documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include participating in board meetings, reviewing organizational performance, and contributing to long-term strategy and policy development. The Director will oversee risk management and compliance, support fundraising and community engagement efforts, and help ensure resources are used effectively to achieve the organization’s mission.



The role also involves collaborating with other directors, providing guidance to senior staff or volunteers, and representing the organization in external forums when required.Qualifications Experience in governance, board membership, or senior leadership, with the ability to contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.Knowledge of nonprofit or community-sector operations, including basic understanding of legal, financial, and risk management obligations.Robust communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and build constructive relationships.Organizational and time-management skills to prepare for meetings, review documents, and follow through on agreed actions.Commitment to ethical practice, inclusivity, and community-focused outcomes, with a willingness to act as an ambassador for the organization.Comfort with hybrid work arrangements and basic digital literacy for online meetings, document sharing, and email communication.Prior experience in Adelaide’s community services or health and wellbeing sectors is beneficial but not required.
