The Town is seeking a highly motivated and suitably experienced Coordinator Governance and Risk to join our skilled team in a full-time capacity.

Your current role

You will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and specialist governance advice.

Our ideal candidate will have

- Demonstrated experience in governance, risk management, compliance, and policy development.
- Strong knowledge of Local Government legislation and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience providing governance advice to senior leaders, Council, Committees, or executive stakeholders.




- Proven ability to manage risk frameworks, compliance programs, and internal audit activities.
- Highly developed written communication skills, including preparation of reports, agendas, minutes, and policies.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and apply legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including supervising, coaching, and developing staff.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and build trust.
- Tertiary qualification in management, law or political science would be desirable.
