Permanent, Full Time Opportunity

Salary Range - $100,442 - $107,428 plus superannuation (depending on skills and experience)

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the City of Mitcham as a Marketing and Engagement Officer, supporting the delivery of community engagement, communications and marketing activities that connect our community with Council's projects, services and initiatives.

Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will plan, coordinate and deliver community engagement and consultation activities. You will support project teams to develop engagement plans and communication materials, coordinate Council's Your Say Mitcham online engagement platform and prepare engaging content across a range of communication channels.

This is a diverse role that combines community engagement, communications and marketing to support community participation,



build positive relationships with stakeholders and contribute to successful project outcomes.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

- A qualification in communications, community engagement, marketing, public relations or a related discipline.
- Minimum of one year's experience in community engagement, communications and marketing.
- Experience planning, coordinating and delivering community engagement, consultation and communication activities.
- Experience preparing communication and marketing content for a range of audiences and communication channels.
- Knowledge of contemporary community engagement, communications and marketing principles and practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Well-developed organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative, proactive and customer-focused approach.
