We have projects lined up for the foreseeable future and are looking for an organised Operations Assistant.
The Team & Role
The suitable candidate will be the vital link between design & dispatch. Your mission is to ensure that orders progress smoothly, from design output through fabrication, dispatch, and installation.
This is a permanent position reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities
- Design Output: Process completed designs from the detailing team and translate them into accurate production documentation and schedules.
- Fabrication: You won’t be just sitting behind a desk. You will need to ensure each workstation is on schedule and is prepared with the correct drawings and paperwork.
- Installation & Dispatch Support: Ensure completed fabrication is assembled in the system and has paperwork ready for dispatch. Ensure installation packs are ready for the site teams.
- Inventory Control: Ensure special orders are ordered and monitor lead times for scheduling. Assist with ordering supplies to ensure zero production downtime.
- Data Management: Maintain and update the management system with accurate production data and lead times.
- Cross-Department Liaison: Act as the central point of contact between the factory floor and dispatch.
- Safety & Compliance:
Assist the Operations and Installations Managers with maintaining safety documentation and QA records.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Previous experience working in the timber industry, CNC Manufacturing, cad drafting, or building/construction environment is highly regarded.
- System Savvy: Solid understanding of computer systems & software. Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite & familiar with CAD based programs or Mitek Sapphire. Training will be provided for proprietary software used in house.
- Customer & team focus: The ability to communicate effectively with everyone from factory floor to site managers.
- Problem Solvers: Someone who can think on their feet when logistics timelines shift or production schedules change.
- Attention to detail: Have a high level of detail to process the documentation and ensure the administrative flow from design to installation.
- Working to deadlines: Superior time-management skills with a proven ability to juggle competing priorities without dropping the ball.
