About the role

We are supporting a 4 year old girl living in her own home and are seeking an experienced Female Disability Support Worker to provide hands-on support, supervision and mentoring. This position involves intimate personal health and hygiene care and support for shifts during the day and overnight (awake shifts).

Ideally, the successful candidates will have extensive experience working with young people in a highly trauma-informed way and be able to follow and contribute to positive behaviour support plans. The role is based both in the home and in the community, working alongside other key support staff.

This position involves personal care and intimate support and is exempt under the WA Equal Opportunity Act as a genuine occupational requirement.

Support periods are:

- Day shift: Saturdays (4-weekly): 7am to 1pm, and 1pm to 7pm

- Night Awake Shift: Various nights

Permanent or Casual employment can be discussed

Selection Criteria

- Experience working with youth in a highly trauma-informed way.

- Experience working with and contributing to positive behaviour support plans.

Applicants must have or be able to obtain before commencing the following:

- Driver's license and own vehicle

- NDIS Worker Screening Check

- NDIS Worker Orientation modules:

- Working with Children Check (WWC Check)
