We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join our team. This is a pivotal role supporting our surgeons, patients, and broader practice team through a combination of clinical care, patient education, and administrative coordination.

In this diverse and hands‑on position, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality patient care across all stages of the surgical journey.

Key responsibilities

- Coordinating theatre lists and managing surgeon schedules
- Conducting patient clinical assessments (including pre-procedure screening)
- Providing pre- and post-operative care and patient education
- Supporting patients with procedure preparation
- Managing patient enquiries and escalating clinical concerns as required
- Liaising with hospitals, anaesthetists, and other healthcare providers
- Assisting with emergency bookings and short-notice cases
- Maintaining infection control standards and a clean clinical environment





Administrative Support

- Managing appointments, patient bookings, and reminders
- Processing billing, Medicare claims, and payments
- Maintaining accurate patient records and clinical documentation
- Supporting the practice team to ensure efficient daily operations

About You

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Previous experience in surgical, perioperative, or specialist practice nursing
- Solid clinical skills, particularly in post-operative care and patient education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach
- High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
- Sound knowledge of Medicare and private health processes
- Experience with clinical software systems
