This role leads a team to ensure maximal efficiency and quality, whilst minimising production costs and EHS risks, and driving continual improvement.

Reporting to the Production & Continuous Improvement Manager, you will be accountable for optimising all available resources and maximising the efficiency of the plant with safety front of mind. Supervising a shift, you will be actively involved in maintaining and improving safety standards and maximising and maintaining product quality.

You will be expected to be hands‑on while supporting the Production Manager with regards to integrated risk management systems (Food Safety, Quality, WH&S; and Setting) and continual improvement. The nature of our product is seasonal and during the planned shutdown, we expect all permanent staff to assist with the maintenance of the plant – including welding and fitting, experience in which is required.

This is not a 9 am – 5 pm position. The roster is in line with operational requirements and will include up to 12‑hour shifts, including night shifts, generally rostered on 4 days in a row,



but may be up to 7 days with sufficient breaks between shifts.

Qualifications

- Experience in leading teams and coordinating rosters for permanent and contract labour.
- Previous experience in the food or beverage processing/manufacturing (FMCG) industry will be highly regarded.
- Hands‑on experience in maintenance in a fitting and welding capacity is required (formal fitting trade qualification is highly desired).
- Experience working with SAP and data analysis, continual improvement and BRC systems (also highly regarded).
- Knowledge in HACCP, GMP, Quality Systems, almond grades and USDA specifications is highly desired.
- Current driver’s licence (required) and current forklift licence (required).
- First aid certificate (required), and knowledge of WH&S; requirements.
- Must be confident of passing our pre‑employment medical and drug screen (zero‑tolerance policy to drugs).
