Lead the onsite geotechnical department

Be accountable for the effective management of geotechnical risk across the Davyhurst underground and open pit operations

Provide technical leadership, governance and practical operational support to ensure mine designs, excavation sequencing, ground support, slope management and backfill systems are safe, compliant, appropriately controlled and aligned with the business plan

Develop the capability of the geotechnical team

Maintain fit for purpose ground control systems and provides timely, risk-based advice to operational and technical stakeholders to support safe and optimal extraction of the orebody

About you

Tertiary degree in Geotechnical Engineering and at least 7 - 10 years of relevant experience





Demonstrated skills in report writing, spreadsheets, costing systems, cost control

Accurate and methodical with an ability and willingness to train and mentor others

Good working knowledge all legislative and regulatory requirements

Adaptable with flexibility to operate in a dynamic work environment

Risk management experience is essential.

Familiarity with mine design and geotechnical analytical software
