Role Overview
Upon joining us, you will be well supported by the Pharmacy Leadership Team and your pharmacy & interdisciplinary colleagues, to provide generalist and/or specialist clinical pharmacy & medication management services as part of our team. You’ll work closely with your pharmacy technician colleagues to ensure effective and comprehensive clinical pharmacy services are delivered to your area of responsibility as rostered.
Responsibilities
- Work with pharmacist colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of clinical pharmacy services across the fortnight and across a range of rostered areas.
- Implement usual clinical pharmacist rotations at NHW, typically 4 to 6 months long, and apply for extended duration in developing or recognised specialty practice.
- Utilise supervision & feedback skills, overseeing and guiding the practice of pharmacy interns and students on placement, and provide education & training inside and outside the pharmacy department.
- Act as a pharmacy department representative and subject matter expert on relevant working groups and committees commensurate with experience, expertise and professional development goals.
- Participate in weekend/public holiday/on‑call roster after suitable orientation & training.

- Dispensary and Hospital In The Home
- Day Oncology (with some on‑site chemotherapy manufacturing performed in the aseptic/cytotoxic suite)
- Subacute/Rehabilitation/Geriatric Evaluation & Management
- Medical Ward (2 pharmacists)
- Surgical Ward, Operating Theatre & Paediatric Ward (2 pharmacists)
- Inpatient Mental Health Unit
- Intensive Care Unit
- Emergency Department (including partnered pharmacist medication charting)
