The Opportunity

Sante Recruitment is partnering with a major regional health service in south-west Victoria to appoint a Consultant Anaesthetist with an interest in Perioperative and/or Pain Medicine. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing anaesthesia service, delivering care across a diverse and expanding surgical program. You will work within a collaborative specialist team, supporting safe perioperative pathways, acute pain services, and ongoing surgical service development. The role offers strong scope to develop subspecialty interests while contributing to high-quality regional healthcare delivery.

- Deliver anaesthesia across a broad perioperative caseload , including:
- General surgery
- Orthopaedics
- Obstetrics & gynaecology
- Emergency surgery
- Procedural sedation

- Contribute to perioperative medicine and acute pain management
- Support development of pain medicine and perioperative services
- Participate in teaching and supervision of trainees and junior staff
- Engage in clinical governance and service development
