Overview

The University of Sydney invites applications for a Senior Registrar/Veterinary Specialist in Small Animal Diagnostic Imaging. This is a full‑time, faculty‑based clinical specialist role located on the Camperdown campus of the Sydney School of Veterinary Science.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide best‑practice veterinary small animal diagnostic imaging services at the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Sydney.
- Take a leadership role in training students and residents, acting as a clinical instructor.
- Assist clinicians in other small‑animal disciplines with case management and teaching.
- Participate in the after‑hours on‑call roster as mutually agreed.

Required Qualifications

- A degree in veterinary science registrable in New South Wales, Australia.
- Advanced training in Small Animal Diagnostic Imaging (completed residency training).
- Excellent clinical skills and proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Experience in teaching and providing clinical instruction.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to show initiative and manage competing deadlines.

Role Details

- Full‑time, HEO 8/9 (38 hrs) base salary $142,344 – $174,177 p.a. + 17 % super + specialist loading (total up to $234k).
- Visa sponsorship available; generous relocation allowance offered.
- Compressed work week option and generous paid parental leave entitlements (up to 36 weeks).
