Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Python Software Engineer to play a key role in the design, development, optimisation, and support of enterprise applications and data solutions.

Working within a collaborative technology team, you will be responsible for developing scalable backend systems, integrating complex data environments, and delivering high-quality cloud-native solutions. This role offers exposure to modern engineering practices, AI-assisted development tools, and large-scale cloud architecture.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build and enhance scalable applications, APIs and data solutions.
- Deliver data integration and automation initiatives across multiple platforms.
- Develop cloud-native systems that are secure, reliable and high performing.
- Coordinate deployments and support activities across development, test,



and production environments while maintaining robust change management practices.
- Harness AI-driven development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to speed up application development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver innovative technology solutions.
- Support and mentor team members while contributing to a high-performing engineering culture.

Skills & Experience

- Proven experience in backend software engineering using Python.
- Strong API development, systems integration and cloud architecture expertise.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and modern engineering practices.
- Solid database, SQL and data pipeline development skills.
- Front-end development skills (i.e. Angular / React) would be highly advantageous.
- Experience working in Agile environments with CI/CD delivery practices.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
