About the role

Drake Medox is seeking fun, enthusiastic and hard‑working support workers within the Burwood area. Our client, living at home with a Spinal Cord Injury – C4 Quadriplegic, is seeking support workers to join their dynamic team on an on‑going basis. This is a great opportunity for you to make a difference in our client's life, as well as enhance your skills and knowledge with ongoing client‑specific training.

Our client is seeking someone who has a genuine love of gardening with previous spinal injuries experience; you must have excellent communication and engagement skills. The right candidate will be flexible and available to work every Mon‑Wed, 7:30‑3:00PM and from Wed‑Sat,



3:00‑8:00 or 9:00PM with any more available shifts as backup and on weekends.

Your key responsibilities

- Personal care
- Medication administration
- Domestic assistance
- Bowel Care management
- Full supervision of the client
- Pressure area management
- Work with the client and assist with personal care and manual handling
- Assisting and supporting the client in the home and out in the community

About you

- Previous disability experience (minimum 2 years)
- Minimum Cert III in Disability or other relevant qualifications
- Manual handling experience (essential)Current accredited First aid and CPR
- Yellow card/NDIS Screening Card
- Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Right to live and work within Australia
- Valid Australian Driver's License
- NDIS worker screener check
