We are looking to recruit an Asbestos Laboratory Manager to join our Laboratory in the South East. You will ideally hold previous experience working within an established asbestos laboratory overseeing a team of lab analysts in a busy environment, training recent lab analysts to a high standard, and getting involved in carrying out sample analysis when required. Experience & Qualifications
- Hold the BOHS P401 qualification.
- Have experience working within a successful asbestos laboratory.
- Have excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work well in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Have a friendly and professional manner.
The Role
- Oversee a busy lab of analysts.
- Carry out training with trainee lab analysts.
- Ensure work is carried out in line with HSG 248 Guidelines.
- Get involved in the company quality control schemes.
- Carry out analysis of asbestos samples.
- Enter findings from analysis onto internal systems.
- Ensure the laboratory is always clean.
- Ensure all equipment is correctly calibrated.
- Liaise with managers / clients when required.
