The Senior Azure Cloud / Infrastructure Architect will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise cloud and virtualization solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role is responsible for architecting secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure, driving cloud adoption, and providing technical leadership across multiple projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver creative solutions that meet business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and architect Azure-based infrastructure solutions, including networking, security, compute, storage, and virtualization.
- Lead migration initiatives from on-premises environments to Azure, leveraging virtualization technologies such as Hyper‑V, VMware, and Azure Virtual Machines.
- Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates, Bicep, and Terraform.
- Establish best practices for cloud governance, security, identity management (Azure AD/Entra ID), and compliance.
- Oversee the deployment and management of virtual networks, firewalls, load balancers, and hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute, VPN).
- Guide the implementation of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and related tools.




- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, ensuring high standards in solution delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and roadmaps.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Stay current with Azure platform updates, virtualization trends, and emerging technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 4 years in Azure cloud architecture.
- Deep expertise in virtualization technologies (Hyper‑V, VMware, Azure Virtual Machines).
- Strong proficiency in Azure networking, security, and identity management.
- Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
- Advanced knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate) are highly regarded.
