We are seeking an experienced Risk & Enterprise Risk Manager to lead enterprise risk oversight across the organisation, strengthening risk maturity, resilience, and business continuity while embedding risk management into everyday operations.
This role is a key adviser to senior leadership, with responsibility for designing and continuously improving the enterprise risk framework, supporting informed decision-making, and fostering a strong, positive risk culture across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee enterprise risk oversight, including business continuity planning and organisational resilience frameworks
- Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of enterprise risk management frameworks in line with ISO and Australian standards
- Maintain and continuously update the Enterprise Risk Register, ensuring risks, mitigants and treatments are accurately captured and monitored
- Act as a key adviser on risk identification, assessment and treatment across strategic, operational, financial and compliance risk areas
- Work closely with Line 1 operational teams to track risks, investigate incidents, identify emerging risks and advise on appropriate treatments
- Monitor, review and report on all risk treatment plans, risk registers and associated documentation
- Develop, implement and maintain risk policies and procedures across the organisation
- Analyse risk data and conduct targeted reviews into key and emerging risk areas
- Provide specialist risk advice and guidance as the primary point of contact for all risk matters
- Prepare and present high-quality internal and external risk reporting to the Executive, Board, Board Committees and regulators
- Design and deliver enterprise-wide risk training and education programs
- Support leadership with clear insights and reporting, embedding risk management into day-to-day decision-making
- Foster a solid, positive culture of risk awareness and accountability through leadership and education
- Build strong relationships across Corporate Services, senior leadership and the broader business
- Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge to proactively identify emerging risks and issues
About You
- Demonstrated experience in enterprise risk, governance or risk advisory roles
- Strong working knowledge of enterprise risk frameworks and standards (ISO 31000 and Australian standards)
- Proven ability to influence and advise senior leaders and Boards
- Highly analytical, with strong judgement and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex risk concepts into clear, actionable insights
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in risk, audit, finance, law or a related discipline
