Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Functional Consultant to lead the design, configuration, and delivery of finance and controlling solutions. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to drive best‑practice financial processes and support large‑scale SAP transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead functional design and implementation across SAP S/4HANA FI/CO modules
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system designs
- Oversee end-to-end finance processes including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets and Banking
- Drive integration across finance, procurement, HR, and other modules
- Develop documentation including solution designs, process maps and training materials
- Support testing cycles, defect triage and validation activities
- Collaborate with technical teams on enhancements and interfaces
- Participate in stakeholder workshops and governance forums
- Support data migration, cutover and post-go-live stabilisation
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA FI and CO modules
- Deep understanding of core finance processes (GL, AP, AR, CO, etc.)
- Experience in large-scale SAP transformation programs
- Knowledge of integration across SAP modules (MM, HR, SD, etc.)
- Solid stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Australian Citizenship with Baseline Security Clearance
- NV1 clearance preferred
Desirable Experience
- SAP Central Finance or Group Reporting exposure
- Experience in government or public sector environments
- Familiarity with SAP ALM/Solution Manager
- Agile or hybrid delivery experience
