Role Overview

Our client is looking for a Developer Lead to evolve shopping experiences and shape future retail technology. The candidate will bring deep expertise in full‑stack engineering and DevSecOps, architecting next‑generation POS platform features, leading a cross‑functional team in Agile, and spearheading DevSecOps initiatives to optimize delivery.

Responsibilities

- Lead a cross‑functional team in developing full‑stack application software within an Agile framework, ensuring alignment with project goals and delivery timelines.
- Design and deliver features across the stack – front‑end Vue.js/TypeScript, Java microservices, MongoDB/CosmosDB persistence.
- Align with DevSecOps initiatives including CI/CD pipeline optimisation, infrastructure‑as‑code (Ansible/AWX), and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
- Participate in all SDLC phases: design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Collaborate with architects, QA engineers,



and product stakeholders to ensure high‑quality on‑time delivery.
- Drive observability best practices (ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering continuous improvement, code quality (SonarQube), and engineering excellence.

Key Requirements

- 8+ years software engineering experience.
- 5+ years Java (OpenJDK), microservices, REST APIs.
- 5+ years Vue.js and TypeScript.
- Agile/Scrum team leadership experience.
- DevSecOps with Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Ansible/AWX.
- Experience with MongoDB/CosmosDB, Kafka/RabbitMQ.
- Observability tools: ELK, Prometheus, Grafana.
- Solid stakeholder engagement and mentoring capability.

Preferred Qualifications

- Retail background with POS system experience.
