Deskside Engineer - Techbar

Are you a confident, customer‑focused IT professional who thrives in high‑visibility, face‑to‑face support environments? We are looking for an energetic and polished Deskside Engineer - Techbar to join an onsite team supporting a major enterprise client in Sydney.

This role is perfect for someone who loves engaging with people, takes pride in delivering exceptional service, and brings robust modern workplace technical capability.

Responsibilities

- Providing walk‑up, concierge‑style IT support to users across the business
- Engaging confidently with staff at all levels, including senior leadership
- Troubleshooting end‑user issues across devices, applications, and meeting room technologies
- Managing device lifecycle tasks (builds, deployments, refreshes)
- Supporting modern workplace tools including Intune, O365, Teams, and AV/meeting room systems
- Acting as a visible, proactive representative of the onsite IT function




- Delivering a high‑quality user experience with professionalism, empathy, and ownership

Key Skills

- Strong customer presence - confident, approachable, and polished in face‑to‑face interactions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues into user‑friendly language
- Proactive mindset - you don't wait for users to come to you
- Experience in end‑user support, modern workplace technologies, and device management
- Exposure to ITSM tools (ServiceNow experience ideal but not essential)
- High energy, resilience, and a genuine service‑first attitude
- Experience in TechBar, concierge, VIP/executive support, or similar customer‑facing IT roles is highly valued
- Candidates must have full working rights in Australia .
